The A/C System is what makes your car feel cooler in warmer weather. When you turn on the A/C it actually pulls the moisture and the heat out of the vehicle and that causes the air that is already in the vehicle to cool down. It’s then blown through the fans of the A/C system into the rest of the vehicle, which is what makes you feel cooler. If the system fails it means that you won’t be able to get the heat out of the vehicle and you could find yourself uncomfortable for the rest of the warm season.
If you do need to replace the system it should always be replaced with OEM parts because the A/C system is unique to your Chevrolet vehicle. Buying the OEM A/C unit will ensure that it connects properly into the system and works as it should.
